    Goddess of Democracy or the Democracy statue was created by the protesters during the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.

    The statue was constructed in only four days out of foam and paper over a metal frame. It was 33-ft tall.

    It is considered as symbol of democracy and replicas are located in many places around the world.
